Social education student loans will be available to more people.
A number of additions and changes have been made to the "Rule of granting education student loans at the expense of the funds of the Education Student Loan Fund". According to the new rules, the scope of people who want to benefit from social education student loans has been expanded.
According to the new rules, in addition to the social statuses of both parents of the students (in the case of a single parent, of that person), the social statuses of the students' legal representatives will be taken into account. In addition, students belonging to the following four socially vulnerable population groups will also be able to receive a social education student loan at the expense of the Education Student Loan Fund:
• students whose parents are "recipients of a labor pension due to the loss of the head of the family";
• "students who receive the scholarship of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan if one parent has been diagnosed with a disability due to 81-100 percent impairment of body functions and the other parent has been diagnosed with an 81-100 percent impairment of body functions or for taking care of disabled persons under the age of 18";
• students "whose one parent is sentenced to deprivation of liberty or restriction of liberty, and whose other parent fits into any of the other categories mentioned in the regulation";
• in relation to the student's own social status, in addition to the students who have received a labor pension due to the loss of the head of the family, students who will additionally receive "social benefits due to the loss of the head of the family".
It should be noted that the additions and changes made by the relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers came into force today.
Acceptance of applications for TTK for the spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year continues. Students who want to get an education loan can apply through the portal www.e-ttkf.edu.az.
