On October 2, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Education Student Loan Fund and the Vocational Education Center under the Economic Zones Development Agency.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, the director of the Vocational Education Center, Kanan Bagirov, highly appreciated the activity of the "Educational Student Loan Fund" established by Decree No. 1367 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 17, 2021. Stating that the creation of the fund is a unique opportunity for students studying on a paid basis, the director said that the signed Memorandum will greatly contribute to the deepening of cooperation between TTKF and the Center.
Bahruz Azimov, m.i.e., chairman of the Board of Directors of TTKF, informed about the work done by the Foundation. He said that to date, approximately 54 thousand applications have been submitted to the electronic portal to use the opportunities created by the Fund, more than 42 thousand educational student loan contracts have been formalized. It was also noted that continuous work is being done by the Foundation to support students in repaying their education loans in the future. Cooperation is established with leading representatives of the public and private sector in order to attract students and graduates to internship programs in accordance with the requirements of the labor market, ensure their participation in career fairs, and create conditions for them to test and develop their skills in various fields in order to increase their professional skills.
After the signing ceremony, TTKF employee Fatima Abdullayeva explained to the participants the rules of applying for an education student loan, the types of loans, applicable discounts, repayment conditions, etc. detailed information was given. It was reported that those who are studying part-time at the bachelor's and master's (residency) levels of higher education, at the secondary vocational education level, and at the higher technical and technical vocational education levels of the vocational education level can take advantage of the education student loan.
It was brought to the attention of the participants of the meeting that the education loan is transferred directly to the accounts of the institutions where the students study, and the student, who has solved an important issue such as the tuition fee, gets the opportunity to focus on personal development and increasing his knowledge, being freed from this concern.
At the end, the questions of the participants were answered and suggestions were heard.
