A meeting was held at the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth within the framework of the visit of the delegation of the Education Student Loan Fund to the Slovak Republic.
Tahir Khalafov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation, gave information about TTKF. He noted that one of the clearest examples of the attention and care of the head of the country towards education is the Education Student Loan Fund. The main goal of the Education Student Loan Fund, established by Decree No. 1367 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 17, 2021, is to ensure access to education for people from low-income groups, create equal opportunities for education, and expand the scope of education. T. Khalafov reported on the results achieved in 3 years and future plans, and pointed out that international experience is continuously being investigated and analyzed by the Foundation.
Monika Asamoto and Denis Nedelka, senior advisers of the higher education department of the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic, informed about the Slovak education system, existing scholarship programs for students, and the reforms carried out in this field in recent years. Officials of the Ministry highly appreciated the activities of the Education Student Loan Fund and the state's care for students, and noted that such visits are an important opportunity in terms of learning the experience of Azerbaijan in this field and applying it in their own countries.
It was noted that various projects are implemented by the Slovak Republic to encourage foreign students to study here. It was brought to attention that students from Azerbaijan are also interested in studying at universities located in Slovakia in the future.
