On April 7, 2025, meetings of the management and employees of the Education Student Loan Fund with students of higher and secondary specialized institutions located in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic were held in Nakhchivan city.
Within the framework of the visit of the delegation led by the Chairman of the Board of the Fund, Bahruz Azimov, a meeting was held with students of Nakhchivan State University (NDU), Nakhchivan Teachers' Institute, Nakhchivan Medical College under NDU, Nakhchivan State Technical College and Nakhchivan Music College.
Speaking at the meeting held at NDU, Rector Elbrus Isayev spoke about the reforms carried out in the field of education in our country in recent years. He noted that during the short period of operation of the Fund, which is a clear example of state care for education, thousands of young people have been assisted in obtaining education.
Then, the Chairman of the Board of the Fund, Bahruz Azimov, gave a speech and provided detailed information about the activities of the Fund, types of education student loans, application procedures and repayment terms. He said that more than 60 thousand applications have been received on the electronic portal of the Fund, and more than 53 thousand student loan agreements have been formalized.
Speaking at the event, Jabbar Huseynli, Chief Advisor to the Administration of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, drew attention to the continuous implementation of innovative reforms in the field of education and called on students to take advantage of these opportunities created by the state. At the end of the meeting, the participants' questions were answered.
On the first day of the visit, the next meeting took place at the Nakhchivan Teachers' Institute. Khayal Jamalov, Vice-Rector for General Affairs of the Institute, noted that the state constantly supports young people in their education. The most obvious example of this is the Education Student Loan Fund. Rufat Taghizade, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Fund, speaking about the results achieved in recent years, noted that hundreds of students studying at the Nakhchivan Teachers' Institute have been able to pay their tuition fees at the expense of the Fund's funds. Then, the head of the department of the Fund, Ayaz Mustafayev, provided detailed information about the rules for applying for student loans, types of loans, applied discounts, repayment terms, and answered the questions of the participants.
During the meetings held at the Nakhchivan Medical College, Nakhchivan Music College, and Nakhchivan State Technical College under the NSU, the Fund's employees, Mahammadali Abdin and Ali Rzayev, provided students with detailed information about the Fund's activities, types of student loans, applied discounts, repayment terms, etc., and answered the questions of the meeting participants.
A total of more than 500 students participated in the meetings. The Fund's propaganda and campaign work continues in the city of Nakhchivan.
