A meeting was held between representatives of the Educational Student Loan Fund and UTECA Azerbaijan University of Technology.
Tahir Khalafov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Fund, and Tehranaga Abdullayeva, Agca Mammadova and Gunay Bahishova, employees of the Fund, visited the Azerbaijan University of Technology in order to make presentations and discuss the activities, goals and priorities of the Fund.
Yashar Omarov, vice-rector on Educational Affairs of Azerbaijan Technological University, Babek Hasanov, the head of Education Department, Khayala Mammadova, Press Service Head, Vusal Bayramov, responsible of Student Loans Organization of the university, and Nijat Nagiyev, the chairman of Student Youth Organization participated in the meeting.
During the meeting Yashar Omarov spoke about the importance of the Education Student Loan Fund. He said the establishment of the fund increases students' access to higher education, creates new opportunities and shows the care of the state for youth and education.
Tahir Khalafov, Deputy Chairman of the Education Student Loan Fund, spoke about the opportunities of the fund and advantages of the mechanism. During the discussion, UTECA employees' suggestions on educational student loans were listened to and their questions were answered.
It should be noted that during the last semester, 70 students of the University of Technology benefited from educational student loans, out of which 28 students applied for social and 42 students applied for standard educational student loans.
