The project "Step into the labor market with soft skills" for students of Baku Business University has been successfully completed
The “Step into the labor market with soft skills” project, jointly organized by the Education Student Loan Fund and the Career and Training Center of Baku Business University, has been successfully completed. During the two-day intensive training period held within the project, students mastered a number of important skills that play an important role in working life. During the training, participants were provided with detailed knowledge on topics such as leadership and teamwork, goal setting, and time management.
In a professional work environment, not only theoretical knowledge, but also soft skills play an important role. In this regard, project participants gained both theoretical knowledge during the training and had the opportunity to apply these skills through practical exercises.
During the training, the importance of a detailed explanation of the topics of leadership and teamwork, goal setting, and time management was emphasized, which will closely help students to create conditions for them to take a strong position in the labor market.
In leadership and teamwork - students learned about leadership, the main characteristics of a leader, how effective communication and motivation are for teamwork. In this training process, students learned about the formation of leadership thinking and its importance in business activities. Leadership thinking is important not only for organizational success, but also for the development of individual and social skills. The formation of leadership thinking provides them with skills such as making the right decisions, analytically solving problems, motivation and team building in their future career activities. These skills will help students in leadership positions to function more effectively in the future.
In setting goals, the importance of setting the goals according to the SMART method (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-bound) was explained. How to focus on goals and what steps to take to achieve them was discussed. The topic of assessing the extent to which each goal is measurable was touched upon.
In time management, the importance of proper time planning in maintaining work and personal life balance was explained. Proper time management includes the concept of efficiency. The training covered topics such as setting priorities, effectively allocating time, and avoiding distractions.
Such projects help students to enter the world of work more prepared. In the modern labor market, soft skills such as communication, leadership, problem-solving, and time management play an important role as well as technical knowledge.
At the end of the project, the participants were awarded certificates and shared their ideas on how they would apply the knowledge they had acquired. The students discussed extensively how the skills they had acquired during the training would be useful to them in their future careers.
