TTKF Delegation Participates in an Experience-Sharing Program in the Kingdom of Sweden
The Education Student Loan Fund (TTKF) continues its efforts to expand international cooperation in the field of student loans, study best global practices, and adapt them to the local model. For this purpose, a delegation of the Fund was on a working visit to the Kingdom of Sweden on 3–6 December 2025.
The visit was organized at the invitation of the Swedish Board of Student Finance (CSN), which is responsible for student loan administration in Sweden. During the meetings, the delegation received detailed information about CSN’s governance model, the mechanisms for issuing and repaying student loans, risk management practices, and the available financial support for students.
Under the leadership of CSN Director General Kristina Henryson, presentations were held on the structural and legal framework of student loans in Sweden, practical aspects of managing loans and grants, payment mechanisms applied in cases of guarantees and collateral, as well as the use of digital tools to enhance accessibility.
Discussions also covered the digitalization of credit processes, special financing mechanisms for socially vulnerable groups, and broader opportunities for students’ access to education.
As part of the visit, the TTKF delegation also met with the Swedish Institute. The sides exchanged views on areas of mutual cooperation, grant-based financing for international students, scholarship programs, and student support systems at universities. The Swedish Institute highlighted its role in promoting Sweden internationally in fields such as education and culture, while TTKF presented its operational mechanisms in detail.
The working visit played an important role in aligning the Fund’s activities with international standards, improving student-centered credit mechanisms, and expanding the accessibility of education student loans.
