The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Board of the Fund Araz Pashayev, deputies Kamran Bayramov, Mushfig Jafarov, Vugar Iskandarov, Parvin Kerimzade, Jala Aliyeva, Fatma Yildirim, Jeyhun Mammadov, Vugar Bayramov, Javid Osmanov and Nigar Arpadarai.
The agenda for the meeting included presentations and discussions of the Fund's activities, goals and priorities, a report on formalized student loans for education for the fall 2021-2022 academic semester, and questions about determining the appropriate format for the Fund's collaboration with legislators.
Legislators made a number of new proposals for the general operations of the Fund, discussing the issues of most interest to students applying for student education loans. Proposals such as educational awareness of the Fund, creation of an internal monitoring department, allocation of additional funds for promotion, outreach and advertising were made in secondary and higher educational institutions operating in the regions.
The Chairman of the Fund informed the deputies that during the fall semester, more than 5,600 students applied for educational student loans, 2,899 students were granted educational student loans, of which 1,116 received social loans and 1,783 received standard educational student loans. At the same time, the statistics by economical regions, educational institutions and specialties in which the greatest formalization of loans took place, and opinions were reviewed and discussions exchanged around the results.
Based on the agenda of the meeting, an appropriate format of cooperation between the deputies and the Fund to review, process, promptly respond to citizens on incoming applications for educational student loans was determined.
