The meeting was attended by Araz Pashayev, Chairman of the Board of the Fund, members of the Parliament Malahat Ibrahimgizi, Konul Nurullayeva, Tamam Jafarova, Rashad Mahmudov, Mushfiq Mammadli, Sadagat Valiyeva, Etibar Aliyev, Aliyev Rauf and Kamila Aliyeva.
The agenda of the meeting included the presentation and discussion of activities, goals and priorities of the Fund, a report on student loans issued for the fall semester of 2021-2022 academic year, as well as issues of determining the appropriate format for cooperation between the Fund and MPs.
The parliamentarians made a number of new proposals relating to the general activities of the Fund and also discussed the issues of greatest interest to students applying for educational student loans. It was proposed to raise awareness of the Fund in secondary and higher education institutions working in the regions, to create an internal monitoring unit, to stimulate and increase funding for promotional issues.
The Chairman of the Fund informed the members that more than 5,600 students applied for educational student loans in the autumn semester, 2,899 students were granted educational student loans, 1,116 of them were granted social student loans and 1,783 were granted standard educational student loans. At the same time, statistics were reviewed regarding the economic regions, educational institutions and specialties with the highest number of student loans, and the sides exchanged opinions on the obtained results.
According to the agenda of the meeting, the format of cooperation between parliamentarians and the Foundation was defined on the issues of reviewing, processing and prompt response to citizens' applications for educational student loans.
