A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Education Student Loan Fund and the Azerbaijan Free Trade Union of Education Workers.
On April 18, 2025, the Education Student Loan Fund (ESLF) and the Azerbaijan Free Trade Union of Education Workers (AFTUEW) signed a Memorandum of Understanding.The document outlines joint activities aimed at establishing mutually beneficial relations, organizing experience exchange programs for students and graduates who have benefited from education loans, and expanding cooperation in other areas.
At the signing ceremony, Bahruz Azimov, Chairman of the Board of ESLF, shared the Fund's achievements. He noted that since its establishment in 2021, the Fund has supported children from low-income families, promoted social equity, and expanded educational opportunities. During this period, over 67,000 applications were received, and more than 53,000 education loan agreements were formalized.
Araz Pashayev, Chairman of AFTUEW, highly praised the Fund's activities, emphasizing that the support provided to students not only facilitates access to education but also significantly contributes to improving their social well-being. He expressed confidence that the signed Memorandum would lay the groundwork for broader cooperation and the implementation of joint projects.
Mr. Azimov added that, in addition to financial support, the Fund, in collaboration with its partners, implements various training and development programs to facilitate students' integration into the labor market. Partnerships with both public and private sectors play a crucial role in this direction.
It should be noted that the Memorandum envisages joint activities to support volunteer and internship programs, including seminars and trainings, involving students and graduates in internships aligned with their specialties, and giving priority to students and graduates who have benefited from education loans when relevant vacancies arise.
