On 31 March, a meeting with a group of members of Parliament was held at the Educational Student Loan Fund.
The meeting was attended by Araz Pashayev, Chairman of the Board of the Fund, Parliament members Kamran Bayramov, Mushfig Jafarov, Vugar Iskandarov, Parvin Karimzadeh, Jala Aliyeva, Fatma Yildirim, Jeyhun Mammadov, Vugar Bayramov, Javid Osmanov and Nigar Arpadarai.
The agenda of the meeting included the presentation and discussion of the activities of the Fund, its goals and priorities, the report on student education loans for the fall semester 2021-2022 academic year, as well as issues of determining the appropriate format of cooperation of the Fund with members of Parliament.
The members put forward a number of new proposals regarding the general activities of the Fund, discussed the issues of most interest to students applying for educational student loans, proposed to raise awareness of the Fund in secondary and higher educational institutions operating in the regions.
The Chairman of the Board of the Foundation informed the MPs that more than 5,600 students applied for student loans in autumn semester, about 3,000 students received student loans, of which 1,116 were social and 1,783 were standard student loans. At the same time, statistical data on economic regions, educational institutions and specialties with the highest number of student loans were examined and opinions on the results were exchanged.
According to the agenda of the meeting, the format of cooperation between the parliament members and the Fund was defined for the consideration, processing and prompt response to the applications of the citizens for educational student loans.
